Well, Smanatha, we tried...nobody's checking in here, so I guess it's a dead hive. Let me know when you officially tell Etsy to remove the team so that I can change my tags because I still use beeteam as a tag for some of my items, especially my bee…

If anyone wants to take over as team leader, that is welcome too-I tried, and gave it my best shot for a while, but couldn't find the best way to get everyone motivated. And while a few members have been wonderful and motivated and inspiring, and I…

It's been very lonely without this team and I met some very nice ladies in here. It's so sad that we can't manage to get together anymore. I miss you all and I think it's sad to let a team go, so if anyone's interested in reviving the hive, chek in…

How'd you BEEcome interested in bees?
I've always liked bees, ever since I was a child growing up in Germany. Call me crazy, but I've always liked that certain humming sound of thousands of bees overhead in a tree. To this day, I still stop and listen when I reach a tree full of busy bees and get transported back to a time when I was young. The sound kind of lulls me into a very peaceful trance and I feel almost comforted (for a lack of a better word). Don't ask me why! When I recently watched a movie on GPB/PBS called "Silence of the Bees" I was awoken from a slumber of the ignorant because I honestly did not know the bee's dilemma has been going on for a long time. So now I do what I can to try to raise honeybee awareness so folks can know the perils we humans would face if the bees were all gone (like they are in certain parts of China where people have to hand pollinate their pear trees.) I sure hope it will not come to that. If anyone's interested in watching that program on Nature, then go to http://www.pbs.org/wnet/nature/?s=silence+of+the+bees It is a very informative and eye opening program.

Thanks, there is so much I need to learn about using Etsy!

Are you using the Google Analytics? It helps your items come up in a google search. Because I have the same seller name at ebay it pulled up an auction there as well. Look on the left column inside your etsy for Google analytics and follow the directions... Jo

I completely understand about not wanting to haul things around for shows anymore. After the last show I did, I have half a mind to just stop doing them at all. But when the galleries are all flakey, or the ones who aren't, I'm not good enough to get into, then what do I do with all these cards and prints I have had made of my things! Maybe I just need a break.

Today I had to go in and get xrays on my back from my injury from my last art show. I hope I didn't do permanent damage!!

Hope to see you around, now that I'm done with my move :)

How was the Honeybee Festival Doris? Did you get to pass out the little cards I sent to you? Was everyone there excited about bees? I can't wait to hear about it. I am looking for bee events in PA for me to attend next year- some of them start in January!
