My computer is giving me problems, so I hope this works.
My entry is a necklace in spring colors of aqua, greens and blues to represent the flow of nectar and the dance the bees use to show the colony the direction of the blooms.

Items inspired by the bee hive: jewelry, textiles, honey
How'd you BEEcome interested in bees?
When I was five I had a little boyfriend whose Dad had an observation hive in their kitchen. I was hooked. Many years later I got my own hive and started beekeeping! I am smitten.

Hello, I love your new picture. I like seeing the people's faces to make it more personal. I hope you're doing well. Have you any idea about our challenge yet? You know, it's kind of difficult to search for our beeteam members because a lot of people don't have their items tagged...oh, well...I've got a team treasury all ready to go on the pster scetch. I'm just waiting for an opening.
Have a nice evening and it's good to "see" you :-)
I would love to hear about beekeeping in central PA! I thought about joining the PA Beekeepers ass'n just to learn about it. Or see if they needed volunteers to hep with stuff. To post on the blog, I just need to give you authoring access. I will go check on Ning to get your email address and send you an invite to author on the blog :)

Thank you for all you do. Not only do you have an adorable shop, but you're getting involved by being a beekeeper. Hats off!!! and thank you sooo much in behalf of the honeybees ;-)
Honeybeads, did you have a photo of a bee bag on here at one point, or did I dream that? (I have pretty vivid dreams sometimes and it wouldn't surprise me.....)
Oh, thanks for your response! I wasn't sure how far you are from the H-burg. If you find out anything that would be great but otherwise, I'll just start looking around when I get there. If you ever have time, feel free to post about your bees on the blog and/or on this site, too- We'd love some pictures and things. I know nothing about beekeeping, so I find it fascinating.
(But I know how to make a beekeeper Halloween costume, haha!) :)
Hi there Honeybeeeeeeeeeeeeeeads!
I am not sure if you got my Etsy Convo (my computer may have frozen while it was sending). I think I had mentioned to you that I will be moving to Harrisburg, PA in October!
Since you are a beekeeper, I was wondering if you could recommend a place in Harrisburg to buy my local honey from (or even your honey??). I won't know the area at all, but some local farmers' markets would be great to find and last time I was up there with my husband, I found myself wondering "Where will I get my honey now?"
