TEAM MEMBER REQUIREMENTS:
1. If you're here, congratulations! You've already completed
your first and primary requirement, which is to sign up for your
official team Hive membership here on Ning! So, onto requirement
number two,
2. Actively check in and participate in your team Hive here on
Ning! As anyone who loves Bees knows, each member of a hive
plays an important role and for a hive to survive, everyone has to
participate. Even if you read all the active threads and don't have
anything to contribute, you can tell us about your new
projects/crafts, or say Hi in the Chat thread.
3. Tag your Etsy items with our team tag "Beeteam." This is
a very important requirement of the team because for all of our
Etsy shops to succeed, people need to be able to find you. Wouldn't
you love to be in as many team Treasuries and features as possible?
If you tag your items, you'll be on your way!
Why do I need to check in over here at Ning? We have many
reasons to be a team Hive together here at Ning! The Forums here at
Ning are the most efficient way we have of sharing Team News and
information. When a team Challenge is going on, you can find all of
the information about it here at Ning. When we have a team sale,
you'll be able to find out what you need to know and how you can
participate here at Ning. If we want to schedule a team meeting (in
the Etsy chat rooms), we'll be posting information and comparing
schedules here on Ning. I know that email and Etsy Convos might
seem like a more convenient way to communicate, but believe me,
it's not. When you see a beehive, and a bee has found a wonderful
field of flowers, that honeybee comes back to the hive and does her
little dance to show the other bees how to find the treasure.
Imagine if that poor little bee had to dance her little dance for
each of the other bees on a one-on-one basis. It would take forever
and communication would fail miserably. If we all check in here at
Ning, those of us with news and ideas we want to share only have to
write it down once, here. It saves a lot of time and energy
copying/pasting. Plus, we don't risk getting our Etsy convos
locked!
How to add your Etsy Mini to your "My Page"
1. Login to your Etsy shop, click on Your Etsy at the top, and
scroll down.
2. On the bottom left side of the screen, click on Etsy Mini.
3. Choose your options (Thumbnails and 5 columns wide works
best).
4. Right click in the “Copy this code for the Flash version” box
and choose copy.
5. Go to your My Page, click on the text box edit button. Right
click in the text box and choose paste to add the code.
6. Click save. Your Etsy mini will be up and running!
REGARDING PARTICIPATION:
Without input from everyone, it's hard to come together as a team.
We can't do promotions. We can't bounce ideas off one another. We
can't set goals. We need to know what goals we have for the team or
what's the point? What do you want to gain from being on a team?
What can you contribute to a team? It's hard to fulfill either of
those if we never hear from some of our members.
Therefore, if we go more than a couple of months without hearing
from you, you will quite possibly be deleted from the team.
Please don't take this personally! It is so that we aren't
wasting our time or your time by sending you needless info that you
might not want, via email or Etsy convo. If there has been a
mistake or you wish to rejoin, you can convo samanthasartstudio on
Etsy and I'd be happy to re-add you. Also if you've joined and
found that you don't have the time or interest in participating,
there is nothing wrong with saying so :)
